I am an Assistant Professor in Modern British Literature at Kansas State University, Manhattan. This academic year (1998-9), I am on leave, thanks to the combined generosity of the National Endowment for the Humanities and KSU's College of Arts and Sciences and Department of English. During my fellowship period, I will be working on a book tentatively titled, Fictions of Pleasure: The Literary Oeuvre of Marie Stopes.
