This poster introduces the reader to a set of teaching documents constructed during Fall 2006 in Epidemiology and Ecology. Instructional teaching modules were produced and published on the APS website for use by individuals or in a classroom setting, Ecology and epidemiology in the R programming environment.
This poster was made for the K-State Open House 2008. It's purpose is to introduce the general public to how important plant pathogens have been throughout the course of human history by giving examples of events that people are likely to know and find interesting. Created by G. Antony, X. Deng, V. Segovia, and A. Sparks.
This poster introduces my initial efforts to begin developing disease risk models that can be used with coarser temporal resolution, monthly, weather data than most within season models which use hourly or daily weather data to predict disease risk.
This poster is a further refinement of the APS 2008 poster with some validation using potato late blight disease severity data collected at 19 site/year location combinations in four countries and maps of the effect of cultivar resistance and possible climate change scenarios.
