Dr. Bob Taussig
Here is part of a letter we have sent out to many family and friends all over the world.

"GUILTY"
The judge asked, "How do you plead?"In a shaky, accented voice, Wu answered, "Guilty, Your Honor."
Although I, Bob, stood beside him as a mediator, Wu's penalty was a very large fine, probation and a criminal record. While backing from his parking place, this newly-arrived Chinese graduate student had scratched a car.Out of fear and not understanding our laws, he failed to report it; so he was arrested and charged for leaving the scene of an accident. Now he was agonizingly apprehensive and horribly ashamed. We felt so bad for him.
Wu says, "My life will never be the same."
We consider the parallel of our standing before
God and having to plead "GUILTY!"But with the mediator, Jesus, at
our side, we pay no penalty. Our Judge has said, "It is finished"
and "I have died so that you may live."
THIS IS OUR PRINCIPAL MESSAGE THIS CHRISTMAS!
Our penalty, which should have been eternal punishment, has been paid in full.Jesus paid for all our sins! Jesus, born in Bethlehem 2000 years ago, came to "save His people from their sins" Matt. 1:21. What a glorious provision! Let us Praise the Lord!! Let us sing songs of Thanksgiving!Let us rejoice together! We are not placed on probation. No record is kept of our misdeeds. Romans 8:1 says "If you belong to Christ Jesus, you won't be punished."
Since we have belonged to Christ Jesus, our lives have never been the same.
Because of His precious promises and with this splendid, breath-taking theme filling our hearts, we joyfully and enthusiastically greet you. As the year 2000 ends, we want to celebrate with you the birth of the One who saves, the One who paid that awesome price for our sins. We are grateful to the Lord for you! We want to rejoice with you, our Family. Friends come and go, but those who are born into Jesus' Family have a relationship that endures forever. There is no changing our Family relationship.
Our conclusion is from Jude 24-25. "Offer
praise to God our Savior because of our Lord Jesus Christ! Only God
can keep you from falling and make you pure and joyful in His glorious
presence. Before time began and now and forevermore, God is worthy
of glory, honor, power and authority. Amen. "
