Overview of Lesson 12
Mark 11:1-10; 14:1-2, 10-11, 17-26, 43-50, 53-65.

Theme: The World's Most Important Message

1. Jesus went to Jerusalem knowing that some wantedto kill Him
2. Jesus was betrayed by Judas, one of His followers.
3. The Jewish religious leaders, as well as theRoman authorities,
sentenced Jesus to death, although He was innocentof all charges.
4. Jesus was beaten mercilessly and then crucified(nailed on a
cross to bleed and die.) He willingly died thereto pay for the sins
of mankind.
5. Jesus then returned from the dead, alive again,and after 40 days
rose up physically into Heaven.
6. Everything about Jesus' life, death, and resurrectionshows us
that only He can freely give eternal life tothose who believe/trust
Him..
 

Review of Concluding Lesson

1. Jesus went to Jerusalem knowing exactly whyHe went-to die and rise again.
2. He was betrayed by Judas.
3. He was tried by the Jewish religious leaders.
4. He was found innocent on all charges againstHim.
5. Pilate condemned Him, even though he himselfcould find no wrong with Him.
6. Jesus died for others' sins, having no sinsof His own to pay for.
7. He was buried and rose again physically andbodily and arose to
Heaven in full view of the disciples.
8. Everything about Jesus' death, burial andresurrection shows that
God was satisfied with His work.
9. Faith alone in Him and His work on the crossis the only way to
gain acceptance by God and eternal life.
