About Me

For the moment I will put a sort of random selection of photos here.  I enjoy traveling (especially for fun), and am trying to learn to be a better photographer.

Because I think I am supposed to, I have included a picture of myself, taken during the summer of 2010.  I am on the northern coast of Northern Ireland.  This is the Giant's Causeway, about which there is much Irish mythology. The rocks are the result of lava flows, crystallized into these hexagonal shapes.

The redhead who appears to be looking at me adoringly (because she undoubtedly wants something - treat, walk, or ball), is Maggie the dog.  She had a bit of a summer shave when this was taken - she's a Golden Retriever, 12 years old.

Paragliding on the Oregon coast, May 2011.  Tandem - it was my first time.  Just amazing.

Ecola State Park, in Oregon.  I think the Oregon coast is one of the more beautiful places I've been.

Goff's Caye, off the coast of Belize.  Winter 2011.  End of a 45 minute boat ride to nowhere.

Taken from the deck of my parents' house at Lake Texoma.  I get away here whenever I can, and have done a lot of writing looking out at the lake.
