Craig Weston joined the faculty of Kansas State
University in Fall, 2002, after previous positions at Western Illinois
University, Iowa State University, and the University of Washington. He holds
degrees from Central Michigan University (B.M.) and the University of
Washington (M.M., D.M.A.). He has received grants, awards, and commissions from
groups including ASCAP, the Cincinnati Symphony, the Norwalk (Connecticut)
Symphony, the Seattle Arts Commission, the University of Washington, the Iowa
Music Teachers Association, the Brunnier Museum (Ames, Iowa), the American
Composers Forum, Central Michigan University, Peoria Lunaire (the Bradley
University New Music Ensemble), and the Hobart and William Smith Colleges. His
chamber, orchestral, choral, and electronic music has been widely performed
around the country, and his prose writings have been published in several music
journals.
