Welcome to my personal homepage
Hello, my name is Eddery Lam, currently a Ph.D candidate in Economics at Kansas State University. I received my B.A. in economics and mathematics in 2003 and an M.A. in economics in 2004, both from Boston University. I then proceeded to receive an M.A. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
My research interests lie in the fields of Macroeconomics, Econometrics and International Economics. My current research focuses on looking for improvements in multi-steps ahead forecasts and applying them to various macroeconomics issues. I am also working on a model that seeks to explain how international firms who face market entry costs, select locations to export their goods, in a set up where each consumer in each country has his own preference on differentiated goods.
During my free time, I like to read.(Click here to see the book I am currently reading). I also like to play bridge and board games, particularly History of the World. On Sundays during the NFL season, I like to watch football on TV and support my favourite team, New England Patriots.
