In March 1656 Pierre indentured himself to Jacques Pepin to go toQuebec for 3 years. He crossed from LaRochelle on the ship La Fortunein 1656. He lived on Beaupre coast, and then obtained land on Iled'Orleans in 1667. He married about 1670. The Michaud family livedfrom 1671 on Ile-aux- Oies, then from 1674 on Ile-aux-Grues, and thento the south shore, L'islet. The family moved in 1695 to Kamouraska.
