672. Tugal (Dugal) Cotin was born about 1641 in Laval, Anjou, France. ⁽¹⁵⁷⁾ He died on 15 Mar 1709 in Hotel-Dieu, Quebec, Quebec. ⁽²⁶⁾ In 1666 he was in Sillery, Quebec, as servant for Sebastian Lienard. He was married to Etiennette Beaudon on 10 Jan 1672 in Notre-Dame, Quebec, Quebec. ⁽²⁶⁾

673. Etiennette Beaudon was born about 1653 in St-Medard, fau St-Marceau, Paris, France.⁽¹⁵⁸⁾ She died on 11 Nov 1699 in St-Augustin, Portneuf, Quebec.⁽²⁶⁾ Etiennette Beaudon was one of Les Filles du Roi. She arrived in Quebec in 1671. Etiennette and Tugal Cotin had eleven children 1674-1696; Joseph was the fourth. Children were:
