Since 1997, I have presented, authored, or co-authored over 50 papers, posters, and illustrated papers at major professional conferences.  Conferences in which I have participated include sponsors such as the Association of American Geographers (AAG),  American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS), American Society of Biological and Agricultural Engineers (ASABE), Canadian Society of Agricultural Engineers, Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society, Applied Geography Conference, and the American Entomological Society.  Six of these efforts won student awards, including:  1st Place for the 1999 AAG Remote Sensing/GIS Specialty Group Student Poster Competition, 1st Place for the 1997 Applied Geography Conference Student Paper Competition, and 1st Place in the 1997 Great Plains/Rocky Mountain AAG Student Paper Competition.
