Research Interests:

• Development of mathematical and computer modeling tools to understand groundwater flow and transport.
• Integrated modeling approaches to understand natural/social systems response to human/climate-induced changes in groundwater use and availability.
• Analytic treatment of complicated fluid flow; applications include horizontal and partially penetrating wells, transient recharge, flow near inhomogeneities with complex three-dimensional geometries, reactive barriers, unsaturated flow, variable density flow, and surface water waves.
• Using models to understand flow and transport and to develop guidelines for engineering design.
