Slaughter of Innocents

Know this my little ones, that as they sought to deny you life, they also sought to deny the existence of God. In so much as in the act of killing you they attempted to murder God, you participate in the sacrifice of the Holy Innocents who gave their lives that the baby Jesus might escape slaughter by Herod.

Your short lives were not in vain. For, how many have been brought to Christ as they sought to work through the realization of the horrible violence done to you. May we who survive you serve Him as well.
