Do We Really Believe Babies Are Dying?
On the November 25, 1988, "Focus on the Family" broadcast, Dr. James Dobson said:
"The crux of the entire issue is, do we believe our own rhetoric?
Do we really believe we're killing babies? "
... If 1.5 million children were being slaughtered per year, who are here
... what would we do about it? Would we stand behind our pulpits and say,
`We don't believe in civil disobedience. If the Law says these children
must die, then they must die.' No! We wouldn't do that. We'd be in there
trying to rescue them any way we could. And if that meant going to jail,
we'd go to jail.
"We don't believe our rhetoric. That's the problem.
"There are children at stake...There are seven-pound babies torn limb
from limb, and [or] drowned in salt. That's not right. And I have a hard
time with anyone who defends those who would kill those precious, little,
innocent, voiceless babies."
